Summer's here, so let's start with this one. PSY's signature concert, "SUMMER SWAG 2026" — his soak-the-crowd show — is back on a nationwide tour. True to its name, it drenches everyone, crowd and stage alike, in water. Instead of running from the heat, you dive straight into it. It's a completely different sport from riding out summer under the air conditioner.

Once the sun goes down and the lights come up, jets of water shoot from the stage and arc down over the crowd. The moment you get soaked right alongside the stranger next to you, the two of you somehow become teammates. That's the joy of this show. Not a summer you grit your teeth through, but one you spend out loud and on purpose. Jumping around and taking the water to the music, a whole day's heat leaves you as laughter instead of sweat.

It bursts its first jets of water in Uijeongbu at the end of June, hits Seoul in midsummer, then moves down to Busan in mid-August. If you plan around one simple premise — "I'm getting wet today" — all that's left is excitement instead of worry. Leave anything that can't get wet at home, or keep it sealed in a waterproof pouch, and you'll feel at ease. If your day starts in the afternoon, drink water often, and think ahead about your soaked body cooling off in the night breeze.

My bag's already packed. One pair of shoes I don't mind soaking, a change of clothes, a waterproof pouch to guard my phone and wallet. Add one dry towel and you're done.
