How to choose your day
WATERBOMB is a festival where you watch the stage while getting soaked. The audience carries water guns, and water comes flying from the stage side too. So 'who's performing' matters, but so does 'what kind of energy that day has'.
Friday opens with Diplo, a producer with multiple Grammy wins. TAEMIN, CHANGMO and Lee Young Ji join him. Dance, rap and variety-show energy all arrive at once. If you want something closest to an EDM day, this is it.
Saturday is Jay Park's day — the name people think of first when they hear WATERBOMB. KARINA takes the stage that day too. Hip-hop and R&B run deep, so expect a day built on groove rather than mass sing-alongs.
Sunday is filled by J.Y. Park, ZICO, SUNMI, TAEYONG and RIIZE. Generations are mixed widely, so the odds are highest that you'll know the songs. If it's your first time, this is the safest pick.
What to pack
- Spare clothes and a towel: Getting wet is the concept. Keep one dry set aside.
- Waterproof pouch: A neck pouch is the safest home for your phone.
- Shoes: Strapped aqua shoes beat slides. The ground stays wet.
- Sun protection: It's outdoors from midday in high summer. Make the sunscreen a waterproof one.
