The joint bill is built by mixing the two countries roughly half and half. Splitting them across two days rather than piling one country into a single day works the same way.

What the sellout tells us

A limited ticket is a fixed-quantity product, so selling out doesn't by itself indicate the festival's overall performance. Still, going within moments of opening means the demand had already piled up in advance.

It also matters that sales opened simultaneously on YES24 in Korea and Lawson Ticket and Ticket Pia in Japan. With the same product on sale at the same hour in two countries, how much of the demand came from each side isn't visible at this stage.

For a joint festival, gathering the audience in one place is harder than assembling the lineup. Tickets moving first is a signal that one step of that has been cleared.

What 22 acts means

Split 22 acts across two days and you get 11 a day. As festivals go, that isn't especially large.

The smaller the scale, the higher the share an attendee can actually see. At a 66-act festival you miss more than half; at 11 a day, a well-planned route covers most of it.

With a bill like that, the running order matters more than the breadth. More people stay in one place and watch straight through instead of moving between stages.

What's left before October

It is early August. Two months remain before the festival.

Additional ticket rounds and further lineup announcements may land in between. That the limited two-day pass went first is also a warning that the general rounds won't be easy.

Early autumn in Incheon is good weather for an outdoor event. Where a summer festival fights the heat, an October event carries far less of that burden.
