What the time difference does

Los Angeles and Seoul are sixteen hours apart. An afternoon show over there lands on the next morning here.

So the way this event gets watched from Korea is usually not "live" but "whatever went up overnight." Stage videos and photos stack up while you sleep, and you catch up on all of it during the commute.

That shapes how an overseas event like KCON gets taken in at home. Instead of watching one set start to finish, you drift toward watching a lot of cut-up clips. The time difference makes that unavoidable, and the organizers hand out clips on exactly that assumption.

Announcing an absence ahead of time

FNC Entertainment announced on August 14 that JIUNG would not take part in some of the schedule for health reasons. That's an announcement made on the day of the event.

Word of an absence right before a show is unwelcome news for a group, but it beats letting people find the empty spot at the venue. Overseas shows especially have people in the crowd who bought a ticket and got on a plane. Knowing in advance at least gives you time to brace for it.

Before you go / before you watch

If you're there, check each act's set time against the organizers' notices. Multi-day events run a different lineup each day, so which day your group appears on decides which ticket you want.

If you're watching from Korea, there's no need to rush. Video from over there arrives exactly as late as the time difference says it will, and either way that means tonight or tomorrow morning.
