Thirty thousand won, as a price

K-pop concert seats usually start somewhere around 100,000 won. An S-seat at 30,000 is less than a third of that.

Lowering the price lowers revenue. Same venue, same production cost, less money in. That difference has to be covered somewhere.

Which makes a price like this less a calculation than a choice. It means something was prioritised over this run's revenue.

What selling out means at that price

Tickets sold out the moment they opened. With a price this low that looks inevitable, but it shouldn't be read only that way.

A low price increases who can buy. People who previously couldn't come now can — and the meaning of a sellout changes. An expensive sellout shows the size of the fanbase with money to spend; a cheap sellout shows the size of the group who wanted to come.

Those are different numbers. The latter is usually larger.
