NiziU's first Korean mini album 'Sour Grapes' arrives on the 28th at 6 p.m.
NiziU releases their first Korean mini album, 'Sour Grapes,' at 6 p.m. on September 28. Last night a highlight medley stitching together all five songs came out.

In three lines
- NiziU's first Korean mini album 'Sour Grapes' comes out at 6 p.m. on Monday, September 28.
- The title track shares the album's name, 'Sour Grapes.' It retells Aesop's fable 'The Fox and the Grapes.'
- At 10 p.m. last night, a 2-minute-17-second highlight medley stitching together all five songs was released.

Five songs
JYP Entertainment calls it 'Korea 1st Mini Album' in the video description. It holds five songs.
- Sour Grapes (title track)
- Petal's Song
- emoji
- Into The Dawn (새벽을 달려)
- Lullaby
'The Fox and the Grapes' is the story of a fox who can't reach the grapes and walks away saying, "They were probably sour anyway." The title track was introduced as a retelling of that fable. Before release, separate teasers came out for 'Into The Dawn' and 'Lullaby' as well.
Pre-save is already open through NiziU's official link.
That's the last of the numbers. Now, the music.
What you can hear in the medley
In its 2 minutes 17 seconds, there are four places where the sound sinks noticeably: 22 seconds, 44 seconds, 1:08 and 1:31. They look like the seams where the five songs join.
The last section feels completely different. For a few seconds around 1:36, the high end, cymbal hiss and breath, almost disappears to 1 to 4% of the whole sound. The earlier sections sat at 20 to 30%, so it sounds like someone suddenly dimmed the lights. From 1:40 it brightens again, and from 2:04 it slowly fades out.
Around 1:13, just after the fourth section begins, there are 10 seconds in which the loudness barely wobbles, moving only 3.2 dB. dB (decibels) is the unit of loudness, and a 1 dB difference is barely noticeable.
Monday, 6 p.m.
You can hear the full songs at 6 p.m. on Monday the 28th. Listen to the medley once before then, and you can have fun guessing which song those dark few seconds in the last section belong to.
