For three days starting Friday, October 2, Samnak Ecological Park in Busan's Sasang-gu district turns into one big concert venue. The 2026 Busan International Rock Festival opens at 10 a.m. each day, with more than thirty acts playing every day across five stages (SAMROCK, GREEN, RIVER, WAVE and HIDDEN). Working from the timetable on the official website (posted September 17), we've gathered just what you need to know before you go.

Each day at a glance

Date Main stage closer K-pop acts playing as bands Sets worth catching
Oct 2 (Fri) Avenged Sevenfold 20:40 Xdinary Heroes 16:00 (GREEN) · N.Flying 18:40 (RIVER) Broccoli, you too? 16:50 · Jang Beom June 17:40 · Lee Seung-yoon 19:30
Oct 3 (Sat) Megadeth 20:40 WOODZ 15:20 (SAMROCK) Say Sue Me 17:40 · JANNABI 18:30 · Suchmos 19:30
Oct 4 (Sun) The Libertines 20:50 LUCY 16:00 · CNBLUE 17:40 (GREEN) Hanroro 16:50 · Hitsujibungaku 18:40 · Songgolmae 19:40

All times are start times. Most sets run 30 minutes to an hour, and the headliners play for 70 to 80 minutes.

Sets that clash

Some sets start at exactly the same time. At 17:40 on October 2, Jang Beom June (GREEN) and Kang San-ae (WAVE) start together; at 17:40 on October 3, it's IDIOTAPE (GREEN) and Say Sue Me (WAVE); and at 17:40 on October 4, CNBLUE (GREEN) and Damons Year (WAVE). If you want to see both, your only option is to switch stages partway through the first one.

Tickets and entry

  • One-day passes are 120,000 won, two-day passes (Fri–Sat or Sat–Sun) 193,000 won, and three-day passes 266,000 won. They're sold through YES24.
  • Mobile QR codes activate at 8 p.m. the night before the show. Screenshots aren't accepted.
  • At the entrance, show your mobile ticket and a photo ID, and staff will put a wristband on you. As long as you're wearing it, you can come back in. With a two- or three-day pass, don't take the band off until the last day, and lost bands won't be replaced.
  • Children born on or after January 1, 2019 get in free when they come with a parent or guardian who bought a ticket (proof of date of birth required).

What you can and can't bring

  • Allowed: packed meals in clear reusable containers, unopened bottled water, empty tumblers, legless backrest chairs, and picnic mats (for two people, 1.2m by 1.2m is recommended, about enough room for two adults to sit side by side).
  • Umbrellas and parasols have to be folding ones no longer than 60cm (roughly the length of an arm), and even then you can only use them in the picnic zone.
  • Not allowed: outside alcohol, tents and sunshades, camping chairs with legs, bicycles and kick scooters, long umbrellas, tripods and cameras with large lenses, and pets (guide dogs are allowed).
  • The site is a wetland, so the ground can be soft. Shoes you don't mind getting dirty are a better bet than white sneakers.

Getting there and back

  • Sasang Station on Busan Metro Line 2 is nearby. Between 9:30 and 11 p.m., when the shows let out, two extra trains a day run from Sasang Station in each direction, toward Jangsan and toward Yangsan.
  • According to the City of Busan's park information, the park is about a 5-minute walk from Gwaebeop Renecite Station on the Busan–Gimhae Light Rail and about 20 minutes from Sasang Station on Line 2. Getting to the festival entrance may take a little more walking.
  • The official channels have no parking information. We recommend public transport.

Good to know

  • The cloakroom is open from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m.: 6,000 won for regular bags and 10,000 won for large ones.
  • The kids' zone is open from noon to 6 p.m. and is free.
  • Every night from 11 p.m. to 2 a.m., the after-party 'Bu-long Night' takes place at KT&G Sangsang Madang Busan and Sasang Indie Station. It's for ages 19 and up only, and tickets at the door are 15,000 won (10,000 won if you have a wristband).
  • No separate rain policy has been announced. The organizers state that there will be no refunds or compensation if performers or times change.
