Five kids, five members: seven things you missed in TIOT's 'Five Hours in Pieces' music video
The chorus cries 'hold me' while everyone laughs arm in arm, but the actual embrace comes in the 12 seconds when the drums and bass drop out. A timestamped look at a music video where the members stand beside their younger selves.

The music video for 'Five Hours in Pieces', the title track from TIOT's fifth mini album 'Time for Us' released on the evening of October 1, has ten members in it: the five members of the group, and five child actors credited in the closing credits as 'YOUNG ACTORS (MEMBERS)'. It's a video where the members share the screen with their younger selves, and if you pull the sound apart, instruments drop out and come back in right where the scenes change. Timestamps follow the official music video.
0:00 · Children asleep in the grass
The first scene belongs to the children, not the members. Five kids in matching denim jackets lie asleep in a tangle on the grass, and at 0:06 they run up a mountain path. All you hear at this point is a single guitar riff; the drums and bass join only at 0:06. The first voice arrives at 0:21, so for 20 seconds it's just the children, with no singing.
0:10 · A photo wall filled by both
At 0:10 the members stick Polaroids on a white wall, and at 0:14 the children stand in front of the same wall, now crowded with photos. Among the pictures on the wall at 0:19 are photos of the members too. The order is the grown-ups putting the photos up and the children looking up at them.
0:49 · A house lighting up on 'this night I pray again'
From 0:49 to 0:54, just before the chorus, where the lyrics go '이 밤 또 빌어 / 소원을 들어준다면' ('this night I pray again / if you'd grant my wish'), the bass drops out and the screen cuts to a house in the dark of night. The windows light up one by one, and in front of a lit window two silhouettes stand facing each other. At 0:55, when the bass returns with 'hear me, Love me', the screen turns to a forest at midday.
1:58 · The second night is a motorcycle's light
When the same lyrics come back from 1:58 to 2:03, the bass drops out again, and this time the headlight of a green motorcycle standing on a night road lights up the screen. At 2:04, the five stand in a row at a seaside railing where the motorcycle is parked, watching the sun set over the sea. Every time the words 'this night' come up, the screen turns to night as well.
2:17 · A pillow fight with flying feathers
At 2:17, in a room that looks like an attic, the members and the children have a pillow fight, and feathers fly like snow. Through the chorus that follows from 2:24 to 2:34, '안아줘 / 나 지치고 넘어져도' ('hold me / even when I'm tired and fall'), the members and children throw their arms around each other's shoulders and laugh out loud in front of the camera.
2:39 · Twelve seconds without drums or bass
This is the quietest place in the video. For about 12 seconds from 2:39 to 2:50, the drums and bass disappear completely, leaving only the voice, guitar and keys to sing '아무 소리 없이 이 밤을 비춘 걸 알아' ('I know it lit up this night without a sound'). The video, which cries 'hold me' again and again in the chorus, saves the actual embrace for here. At 2:44 one member pulls another into a hug, and at 2:48 a child, eyes closed and smiling, hugs a member. At 2:51, when the rap begins and the drums return, the screen moves to an empty parking lot at night.
3:30 · Five on the beach where the children ran
From 2:08 to 2:16, it was the children who ran around on the sand at dusk. In the final scene at 3:30, the five members stand in a line on the sand by the sea at the same time of day. The closing credits show that director Yunho Lee also handled the cinematography, drone, editing and color grading. The album holds four songs, this one plus '말해줘', '지내볼게' and 'Fool'; Shin Ye-chan wrote the lyrics for '말해줘', and Kum Jun-hyeon wrote the lyrics for '지내볼게' and 'Fool'.
