A NAM WOO HYUN starter before '2X8': from 'Still I Remember' to 'Boys And Girls', ten years of growing credits
Ahead of the second full album marking ten years as a soloist, seven title tracks from 'Still I Remember' to 'Boys And Girls', with a note on how a name absent from the first credits kept growing there.

INFINITE's NAM WOO HYUN releases a second full album, '2X8', at 6 p.m. on October 14. It marks ten years since the solo debut with the mini album 'Write..' on May 9, 2016. NAM WOO HYUN's name wasn't in the writing credits of that first solo title track, but over ten years the share has grown steadily, from lyrics to composition to arrangement. We picked seven solo title tracks in that order and noted a scene to watch first in each. Credits come from the Bugs album notes; scene timestamps refer to the official music videos.

2016 'Still I Remember' (끄덕끄덕)
The title track of 'Write..', the first solo album, released six years after INFINITE's debut. The title track is a ballad with lyrics by Kim Eana and music by J-Yoon, and three of the album's six songs are NAM WOO HYUN's own. At 0:36 in the music video, a page-a-day calendar hanging on a wire fence shows "2015 5月 9 土曜" (Saturday, May 9, 2015), and at 4:02 a graph-paper notebook in black and white holds handwriting that begins "1年은 365일" ("a year is 365 days") along with "2015年 5月 ~ 2016年 5月 9日". The year in the video ends on the day the album came out. Apple Music
2018 'If Only You Are Fine' (너만 괜찮다면)
The title track of the second mini album 'Second Write..', released after a gap of two years and four months, with lyrics and music by NAM WOO HYUN and the writing team 7six9 music. It's a ballad about the dullness at the end of a long relationship, the breakup, and wanting to avoid that breakup. With this song, NAM WOO HYUN took first place on SBS MTV's 'The Show' that September. The music video opens at 0:06 with two people facing each other at the end of a dark underpass, and at 4:23, in the same framing, the woman walks out of the shot and only the man remains. Apple Music
2019 'Hold On Me (Feat. Junoflo)'
The album notes describe the third mini album, 'A New Journey', as a new attempt to move beyond the "emotional balladeer" image. The song mixes electronic elements into an acoustic guitar riff and adds Junoflo's rap, and NAM WOO HYUN co-wrote the lyrics. From 1:02, NAM WOO HYUN dances with four dancers on a rooftop lit by neon signs. Apple Music
2021 'Calm & Passion' (냉정과 열정 사이)
The title track of the fourth mini album 'With', released after two years and five months. It's dreamy R&B pop with a heavy bass line and restrained vocals, and NAM WOO HYUN co-wrote the lyrics about "passion disguised as calm." At 1:15, NAM WOO HYUN, with bright red hair, looks straight ahead through a hole burned out of the middle of a sheet of paper. Apple Music
2023 'Baby Baby'
The title track of 'WHITREE', the first full album, released seven years after the solo debut, with lyrics by NAM WOO HYUN alone. The album name combines WHITE and TREE: between the initials WH and the nickname "Tree," the fandom INSPIRIT's "I" sits in the middle. It's city pop with a Christmas-carol feel. At 2:15 comes a group dance in front of classic cars with their headlights on, in a parking lot at night with snow falling, and the video, mostly in a narrow 4:3 frame, opens up to widescreen from the stage scene at 3:02. Apple Music
2025 'Only Forward' (Only 직진)
The title track of the fifth mini album 'Tree Ring', released for the ninth anniversary of the solo debut. Every song on the album is self-written, and on this one NAM WOO HYUN shares credit for lyrics, music and arrangement. It's rock 'n' roll driven by a guitar riff and drums. In the music video, NAM WOO HYUN plays a baseball pitcher, and at 2:57 someone writes "커브 말고 직구!" ("Fastball, not a curve!") by hand on a locker-room whiteboard. It's the moment where the title's "forward" (직진) and baseball's "fastball" (직구) line up. Apple Music
2026 'Boys And Girls (Feat. INFINITE)' (소년소녀)
A digital single released on May 9, the exact tenth anniversary of the solo debut, with every INFINITE member featured. NAM WOO HYUN wrote the lyrics and music and helped arrange it. Instead of an official music video, a special clip came out, and at 1:21 a 'Tree Ring' album sits on a shelf behind NAM WOO HYUN, singing on a rooftop at night. The song also appears again on '2X8'. Apple Music
'2X8', October 14
It's the first full album in about three years, since 'WHITREE', with 16 songs and the title track 'DEVIL'. According to several reports, NAM WOO HYUN took part in the album's production throughout. The concept photos released in September show a deep-blue space and a blue butterfly perched on a fingertip. On November 6–8, NAM WOO HYUN holds a tenth-anniversary concert, '식목일VI - EVER GREEN' ('Arbor Day VI'), at KBS Arena in Seoul.
