Vocalist Takeshi Hosomi has spoken to audiences in Korean at every visit. Last August they released 'Carmine', used as an opening theme for the anime 'One Piece'.
Twenty-two, as a number
A twenty-two-year gap splits an audience into two generations.
People who saw them in person in 2004, and people who came to know them afterwards only through recordings and video. Anyone who was twenty then is past forty now; the other group was very young, or not born.
So a show like this does two jobs at once. On one side it's a return; on the other it's a first time. Same stage, entirely different meaning.
Choosing YES24 LIVE HALL
Twenty-two years, and the venue isn't an arena — it's a live hall, a mid-size standing room.
For a band show that scale is a considered choice. The distance sound travels to reach an audience is short, and the height difference between stage and floor is small. The density a rock band wants doesn't come easily in a large space.
The trade is tickets. Split across two nights, the total is still smaller than one arena date. Given how many people waited twenty-two years, competition is likely to be sharp.
Before you go
The shows are late November, so there's over three months. Official notices are the accurate place to wait for the ticketing schedule.
At a standing venue, shoes are the thing. Low soles beat high ones, and travel light — live halls often don't have generous lockers.
Late November in Seoul is properly cold at night, and it will be hot inside. An outer layer that comes off easily is the answer.
