A song placed outside the full session
It was sung in the same room, and it is not in the full session. It came out on its own.
There is usually a reason for that. A full session is an edit that binds songs into one arc, so the number and the order have to be settled. A song left out either did not fit the arc, or carried enough weight to stand apart.
'Your News' looks like the second case, since it is billed as a signature song.
The word 'news'
'Your news' means information about you.
News does not arrive directly. It comes through someone, or drifts in from somewhere. So the title already contains a distance: people who see each other have no occasion to call it news.
Set beside the three songs in the full session, that distance sharpens. 'Because It's You' offers a reason and 'Can't We Meet Again' asks a question, while 'Your News' is the state in which nothing is said to the other person at all.
Setting a signature song apart
A signature song is one many people already know. It needs little introduction.
Put inside a full session, it can overshadow the rest. When a familiar song starts, attention goes there.
Pulling it out removes that problem. In the session the lesser-known songs get their own space, and the signature song is found by whoever goes looking for it.
