Ten Lanes of Banpo-daero Are a Stage Until Tonight
The Seoripul Music Festival is on its second day. Crying Nut, Jaurim and Lee Seung-yoon take the stage at 7pm.

Today, Banpo-daero in Seocho-gu is a stage.

About 900m of ten-lane road, from Seocho Station to the Seocho 3-dong intersection. It is fully closed for 52 hours, from midnight yesterday until 4am tomorrow. It's closed right now.
Tonight at 7
Today's programme opens at 11am with the Seoripul Kids Classic 'Flying Symphony' (Ditto Orchestra), then Crying Nut, Jaurim and Lee Seung-yoon take the 'K-POP Night' stage at 7pm, closing with fireworks.
It's hosted by Seocho-gu and organised by the Seocho Cultural Foundation, under the slogan 'Seocho is the Music'.
It's free. Advance reservations opened on 15 September, and people aged 80 and over could book by phone between the 15th and 18th, one ticket each.
Yesterday's programme included an opening parade (Horay, Boombeat Brass Band, Bridge Balloon and Seocho cheerleading), 'The World's Largest Sketchbook' chalk drawing at 1:30pm, a Classical Night (Hwang Su-mi, Bang Shin-je, Kim Yo-han, Kim Ji-hoon, the Yang Seung-hee gayageum ensemble, Sylvain Leclerc) and a Jazz Night (Ko Sang-ji).
Jaurim's Current Song Is 'LIFE!'
Jaurim are three people: Kim Yoon-ah, Lee Seon-gyu and Kim Jin-man. Their current record is the twelfth album [LIFE!], out on 9 November 2025, and its lead track is 'LIFE!'.
I measured it in 0.25-second windows. Three minutes forty-eight.
The first 0.75 seconds are complete digital silence (−240dB). Then at 0:00.75 the first hit arrives at −19.19dB — and at that moment 20~150Hz takes 91.4% of the energy while 500~3000Hz reads 0.0%.
That state holds for six and a half seconds, until 0:07.25. Window after window, the low end runs 86~100% while the mids stay at 0.0~0.5%. Pulses jump between −13.6 and −27.1dB with nothing but kick and bass, the midrange emptied out entirely.
The point where the mids first overtake the low end is exactly 0:07.50 (low end 19.0%, mids 56.2%, −12.27dB). That's where the whole band arrives at once.
They hold the opening for six and a half seconds on low-end pulses alone.
13.8dB Drops Out at 1:14
From 0:30 the level settles into the −9dB range, and the loudest window is 1:11.25 at −6.95dB.
The most striking device is the break at 1:14. From −8.05dB at 1:13.50, 13.8dB falls away in 0.75 seconds to −21.85dB at 1:14.25, then it returns at −12.81dB at 1:14.50.
But at the moment it returns, the low end vanishes to 0.0% and the mids take 68.3%. A dropout that cuts the bass and leaves the voice.
The flattest stretch is 1:46.75~1:59.25, holding 12.5 seconds within 2dB. 6000~11000Hz stays at 0.5~1.6% across the whole song — a warm, mid-and-low-centred master with almost no top-end air.
It decays from 3:40 and dies out at −63.8dB by 3:47.
If You're Going
It's an outdoor road show, so the low end only reaches the front rows. That six-and-a-half-second low-end intro measured above may be almost inaudible from the back. If you can get near the front, those 6.5 seconds sound completely different.
My bag's already packed. If you're staying for the fireworks, note that the closure runs until 4am tomorrow. Bringing a car would be a mistake.
