Four songs from the 'big pants friends': the first is the heaviest, the last the loudest
Four songs BIG PANTS GUYS played at a winter playground: the same Beolmal Children's Park as Yu Eun Chan, who we covered two days ago.
A new song has arrived at the playground today. It's BIG PANTS GUYS.
They introduce themselves as "the big pants friends." Drums, bass and two electric guitars make four. The playground is Beolmal Children's Park, the same one as the Yu Eun Chan episode we covered two days ago, in front of a treehouse structure shaped like a giant tree. The video description says it was "very cold weather," and both guitarists are bundled in a thick sweater and a track jacket. The video went up in January 2024.

The song notes in the description are fun. 'Foolish way' is "the story of a pathetic guy who failed at love," 'This Weather' says "go out right now and get caught in the rain," and 'Closed My Mind' says "sometimes it's good to try loving yourself! But put your phone down.."
The first song is the heaviest
The first song, 'Foolish way,' has the thickest low end of the four. The sound below 150 Hz goes over 30% of the whole for about 18% of the song's running time. Hz (hertz) is how many times the air vibrates per second, and below 150 Hz is where the bass and kick drum live. In just the ten seconds between 1:20 and 1:30, the low end slams in five times.
The last song is the loudest
The last song, 'Closed My Mind,' is the opposite: it's the loudest of the four, with the widest range. Its quiet side and loud side sit more than 22 dB apart; dB (decibels) is the unit of loudness, and a 10 dB difference sounds roughly twice as loud. The loudest sound of the whole set is also in this song, at 14:37. The quietest song is 'This Weather,' which sings about the gloom of a rainy day.
On a cold day, somewhere warm
The video is set in the dead of winter, but just as the description says, it's a "cozy wood-toned playground," so watching it warms you up. If you're short on time, start at 13:26 with 'Closed My Mind.' At 14:37 comes the loudest sound of the set.
