“Playgrounds are the best spots for sunsets” — two songs HYNN (Park Hye-won) sang at Nanjicheon Park
'Sunset Song' (오늘 노을이 예뻐서) and 'Longing For The One I Lost' (이미 지나간 너에게 하는 말), which was brand new at the time. We rewatched HYNN's nine-minute NONOL STAGE, filmed at a children's playground at dusk.

The first thing HYNN (Park Hye-won) said on taking the mic wasn't a song introduction. Coming to a playground, HYNN said, hadn't happened "in a really long time, not since childhood," and singing at one was "probably a first, today." At a children's playground in Nanjicheon Park in Sangam-dong, Seoul, between a jungle gym shaped like a sailing ship and a red slide, stood the voice that sang 'The Lonely Bloom Stands Alone' (시든 꽃에 물을 주듯).

Singing the sunset, then sharing a sunset spot
The first song, 'Sunset Song', starts almost in a whisper. It only opens up fully near the end. At 3:24 a line of backing chorus is laid down first, and from 3:31 the voice climbs one step at a time. Around 3:45 is one of the two places in this video where the sound swells the loudest. It fits oddly well that what you see behind the singer is a children's slide. The song calls back the days when you first cared deeply for someone, and the person singing it had just said this was a first time at a playground since childhood.
After the song, HYNN adds one more thing, calling it a tip: "Playgrounds are the best spots for sunsets." HYNN asks you to come out to a playground with this song. And the video's very first shot really is a wide view of the playground at dusk.
The new song, like talking to oneself
The second song, 'Longing For The One I Lost', came out as a single in early December 2024, and this video went up a few days later. HYNN introduced it as a song full of "the things you say to yourself, missing someone who's already gone." True to that, HYNN tosses off the first line, "We all go through times like this" (5:17), lightly, as if speaking, gathers breath at the bridge at 7:44, and lifts it to its highest point around 8:00. That's also where the whole video gets loudest. Then HYNN sets the closing words, "the words I say" (8:38), back down to the size of a murmur. You can clearly hear in this song that a singer who knows how to sing big also knows how to end small.
The video was made by RoFac (executive producer Jung Seok-hyun; cinematography, editing and color by Choi Young-jo and Ha Jun-seo). As of September 28, it has just over 118,000 views. Try putting it on around sunset.
