Seven things you'll spot on a rewatch of BOYNEXTDOOR's 'ANIMAL' MV
The opening shot eye to eye with a cat, the people with nets, the screen going dark at 1:55, and end credits printed on a truck door.

BOYNEXTDOOR's 'ANIMAL' music video is exactly what the title says: the members turn into animals. They get chased by people with nets, roll around in mud and turn someone's wedding upside down. As of the morning of September 29, it had passed 1.8 million views. If you laughed once and moved on, here are seven things to watch for on a rewatch. All times refer to the music video.
1. 0:33, eye to eye with a cat
On a vacant lot next to a vending machine, one member crawls on all fours toward a real orange cat. You could say the story of becoming an animal starts right here.
2. 0:38, the people with nets
Five people in white hard hats and blue work jackets brace themselves with a green net and catch poles. If the members are the animals on the run, these are the ones sent to catch them.
3. 1:28, 'Forever Begins'
Where they run to is an outdoor wedding by the river. At the entrance stand a bride-and-groom photo board designed like a social media post and a sign reading 'Forever Begins'. The members are about to turn the day "forever begins" into chaos.
4. 1:55, the screen and the sound go out
At 1:55 the screen goes pitch black and the sound cuts out. For the next nine seconds the music holds its breath quietly in the dark, and at 2:05 the final chorus bursts back in. Around 2:00, guests with covered faces pass by, and the credits in the description list a separate 'extra mask design'.
5. An action team behind the tumbling
There's a reason the scenes of wrestling in the mud and people toppling one after another feel so real: the credits list an action team (J CREATION) and a movement director. The video was directed by Soonsik Yang of YSS STUDIO.
6. 2:43, into the back of a truck
In the end, the members lie side by side in a truck bed lined with green netting. The chasers won.
7. 2:48, credits on the closed doors
When the cargo doors close, the names of the video's crew are printed all over them. The end credits are on the truck door. Pause and read them.
According to the label, RIWOO personally created the chorus choreography, and TAESAN got the idea for the song from fans chanting 'Whop Whop!' at US shows. Once you've rewatched the video, check out RIWOO's chorus choreography in a stage video next.
