The show that reminded NONOL why it started: Dong Eun at a Yeonnam-dong playground
Autumn 2022, the third NONOL LIVE stage. A 'Fly Me to the Moon' / 'Isn't She Lovely' medley born from a jam, and 'My Love by My Side' that begins in a whisper.

In autumn 2022, when NONOL LIVE had only just begun, the third musician to step up to the mic at Neuti Children's Park in Yeonnam-dong was Dong Eun. Perched on a spring rider, Dong Eun sang four songs over 20 minutes, with a single keyboard following along. In the video description, the NONOL editors wrote: "A performance that felt like an answer to why we started NONOL."
| Time in the video | Song | Story |
|---|---|---|
| 0:06 | Eul (을) | Dong Eun's first single |
| 4:46 | Fly Me to the Moon + Isn't She Lovely | Two songs that merged naturally during a jam |
| 10:11 | My Love by My Side (내사랑 내곁에) | A Kim Hyun-sik song that moves Dong Eun deeply |
| 15:43 | Please Don't Come Closer (다가오지 말아줘요) | Written by Dong Eun's closest friend, Minji |
Where two songs become one
Second on the set is a medley of the jazz standard 'Fly Me to the Moon' (written by Bart Howard) and Stevie Wonder's 'Isn't She Lovely'. According to the description, the two came together naturally while Dong Eun was jamming. Two different songs flowing like one over a single keyboard is the first thing on this stage to catch your ear.
From a whisper to a sound that fills the park
The third song, 'My Love by My Side', starts almost as a whisper. Around 10:10 the voice sits very low, then builds slowly for about three and a half minutes until, around 13:45, it swells to the biggest point in the song, nearly as loud as the peak of the opening song 'Eul'. Rather than imitate the weight of the original, Dong Eun makes it personal by starting small and lifting it all the way.
An afternoon at sunset
The description remembers that day like this: as the afternoon went on, children filled the playground, the sunset light was beautiful, and even with kids running around, Dong Eun never lost the flow for a moment. Dong Eun was the first musician chosen by 'Neo Universe', the new-artist project of the music label Choesouju (최소우주, literally “smallest universe”), and at the time of filming Dong Eun was studying sound design at Berklee College of Music.
As of September 30, the video has about 108,000 views. The weather is right for revisiting NONOL LIVE's first autumn.
