Before 'Still', an N.Flying primer — from 'Rooftop' to 'Our Ending'
Ahead of the 9th mini album 'Still' on October 8, we picked songs in order from 2019 to last week. This is a band whose five-year-old track 'Flashback' is still on the chart.

At 6 p.m. KST on October 8, the band N.Flying releases the 9th mini album 'Still', led by the title track '잔불' ('Still'). The five-member band debuted in 2015 with '기가 막혀', and has so many long-loved songs that 'Flashback', a track from the first full album five years ago, is still on the Bugs weekly chart as of October 1. If you're wondering where to start, we picked seven songs in order, from 2019 to last week. Most of them were written by leader Lee Seung-hyub.
2019 '옥탑방' ('Rooftop')
Lee Seung-hyub wrote the lyrics and music and also co-arranged it. It paints memories after a breakup with a lover who used to sit side by side on a rooftop looking at the night sky. Like the lyric 'you pulled my hand, saying let's look at the stars', it starts from a very small scene. In 2021 the agency described it as the song that made N.Flying's name through a chart comeback, with 100 million streams. Apple Music
2021 'Moonshot' and 'Flashback'
'Moonshot' is the title track of 'Man on the Moon', the first full album, released six years after debut. It's alternative rock that pushes the message that nothing changes if you fear change, with rough guitar tones and brass. 'Flashback', the closing track of the same album, is still on the Bugs weekly chart, and its audio video on YouTube has passed 43 million plays. In 'Flashback', only instruments play for 12 seconds before the voice comes in, and the drums don't arrive until 26 seconds. Apple Music 'Moonshot' · Apple Music 'Flashback'
2023 'Blue Moon'
A fan song released on May 20, the band's 8th debut anniversary. Lee Seung-hyub made it thinking of the blue moon you only see a few times in life, and over warm piano and clear acoustic guitar it carries the wish to stay in this moment with the fandom, N.Fia, for a long time. The agency's 2025 introduction says the song made 'another chart comeback'. Apple Music
2024 'Star'
An OST for the drama 'Lovely Runner'. N.Flying gladly joined for Lee Seung-hyub, who played Baek In-hyuk, the leader of the band ECLIPSE in the drama. The vocals cross into high registers to give a sense of running ahead. 'Sudden Shower', released under the name of the drama's band ECLIPSE, is also on the Bugs weekly chart as of October 1. Apple Music
2024 '네가 내 마음에 자리 잡았다' ('Into You')
A Lee Seung-hyub original, released as a promise to keep giving music to fans waiting for the full lineup, during the period when two members were active while the others served in the military. It was first sung at the June 2024 solo concert 'HIDE-OUT', then came out as a single after a flood of requests for an official release. The first 19 seconds lean on voice and guitar, and at 19.5 seconds the drums and bass come in together. Apple Music
2025 '만년설' ('Everlasting')
The title track of the 2nd full album, released when all five reunited after about two years. The members wrote the lyrics and music for all twelve songs on the album. Marching drums and a guitar solo sit on top of a Britpop-like acoustic piano intro, and it keeps repeating a promise not to change, with lines like 'unchanged through however many seasons / like snow, like flowers'. Apple Music
2026 '아는 결말' ('Our Ending')
Released first on September 28, ahead of the 9th mini album. It captures the flutter of a love just starting with guitar, bass and brass, and NONOL chose it as the NONOL PICK on September 30. NONOL PICK · Apple Music
October 8: 'Still'
Seven songs, including the title track '잔불' ('Still'). You can preview the tracks in the highlight medley posted on the official channel on September 23. The release is at 6 p.m. KST on October 8.
