At 6 p.m. today, MEOVV returns with the single album 'GO HARD'. It comes four months after the second EP, 'BITE NOW', on June 1. The agency has introduced MEOVV as the first girl group from THEBLACKLABEL, the label led by producer TEDDY, and the group debuted on September 6, 2024, with 'MEOW'. The members are SOOIN, GAWON, ANNA, NARIN and ELLA. The name borrows a cat's meow, and around the debut, ELLA explained that writing VV in place of the W in the English name was meant to be fun to look at. We picked six title tracks, from the debut song to June's 'DDI RO RI', and noted one scene to watch first for each. Song lengths follow Bugs, and scene times follow THEBLACKLABEL's official music videos.

2024 'MEOW'

A one-song debut digital single. The agency described it as a song that opens with an addictive melody and is carried by an attractive bass line, and TEDDY is among the lyricists. At 0:16 in the music video, the five stand in the middle of dozens of flamboyantly dressed people, and at 2:11 the members ride on the back of a house-sized pink cat plush set against a black backdrop. The plush has blue eyes and gray ears and tail. Apple Music

2024 'TOXIC'

The second single put both 'TOXIC' and 'BODY' forward as title tracks. 'TOXIC' is pop R&B in which the members' voices stand in front of a minimal rhythm. It's also the first song where members' names appear as lyricists in the Bugs credits: GAWON and NARIN are among the writers. At 0:55 in the music video, white powder bursts like an explosion on a snowfield, and the members run across the snow in black dresses; at 1:06 a member with black bat wings looks into the camera alone. 2025 'HANDS UP'

Released two weeks ahead of the first EP, 'MY EYES OPEN VVIDE', it stands alongside 'DROP TOP' as a title track on the EP. The agency called it Brazilian funk, with fast, dazzling rhythms and distinctive synth sounds. On May 8 it won MEOVV's first music show trophy since debut, on Mnet's 'M Countdown', and it won again the following week. At 0:50 in the music video, dozens of arms fan out in a circle behind one member, and at 1:27 a tiny member sits cross-legged on an open palm. As of October 6, its music video has the most views of the six songs picked here (88.37 million). Apple Music

2025 'DROP TOP'

The other title track on the same EP. It was introduced as pop with rock elements that starts calm and opens up brightly, and GAWON took part in the lyrics. The EP notes say the six songs aren't separate pieces but connect into one story. At 2:52 in the music video, the five stand in a field at night, lit by car headlights; at 2:53, glowing hand-drawn cats pop out over the hood of a red convertible. Apple Music

2025 'BURNING UP'

A dance track on a Jersey club rhythm that, according to the notes, started from a resolve not to stop even if it takes your breath away. The album notes say it contains elements of 'LOVE SENSATION', which is why Dan Hartman, who wrote that song, is listed in the lyric and composition credits. The music video starts in a snack bar. At 0:30, flames shoot up from a plate of tteokbokki, and a member with twin tails sits holding a burning rice cake on a fork. From 1:46, the members dance in front of giant fans in a frost-covered appliance store. The lead photo is the 1:10 scene of the five gathered in front of a big fan. Apple Music

2026 'DDI RO RI'

The title track of the second EP, 'BITE NOW', released in June. It samples and reworks Bach's 'Toccata and Fugue in D minor', and the agency explained that the grand impression of the organ meets '띠로리' (ddi-ro-ri), a Korean sound effect for a dramatic moment. NARIN, ELLA and GAWON took part in the lyrics. The music video divides itself into chapters with on-screen text; at 1:22, 'Chapter 3 / 의심이 형태를 갖다' ("doubt takes shape") appears on a phone screen. At 0:54, the five, with long silver-gray hair, stand covering their eyes with both hands in front of a Gothic arched door, until one lowers both hands and walks toward the camera. Apple Music

October 12 'GO HARD'

The album cover, revealed with the comeback news on October 1, shows a chain pulled so taut it looks about to snap. Next came a teaser video of the five members holding ringing phone receivers to their ears, a photo with 'GO HARD' written on a bandage on a member's face, and two concept films set in a high-rise downtown and in an arcade. The agency explained that the bandage stands for trials, wounds and healing. In a 10-second short on MEOVV's official YouTube, a gray metal locker opens, and the words 'GO HARD' rise up inside the empty locker. At the same time, NCT WISH, PLAVE and Xdinary Heroes also release new albums.
