How three voices divide a song

Neighbro are three. By their own account, Jung Won-bo takes the low register, Kim Sung-han the soft one, and Joo Jae-woo the aching one.

When three people share one song, positions open up inside it. It starts low, slides into something softer, and another voice comes in at the line about regret. That kind of handover does not exist in a solo ballad.

"We paint songs like films" is how they put it. The phrase makes sense once you think of three voices each taking a different scene.

A parting that starts in summer

The second song, 'That Summer', recalls the past of a couple whose love began and ended in summer.

The third, 'Can't Sleep', holds the wish that the person you love dreams well. The members say it is their own favourite.

The last, 'Smile Now', sings what you feel watching the final back of someone leaving. They prepared it for a NONOL compilation album.

It starts at the beginning of a summer, passes through a sleepless night, and ends with a request to smile. The last thing said to someone leaving is a request to smile.
