Songs sung by someone who plays guitar
Lee In-kyu studied guitar at university. The musician worked as a session guitarist for artists including Kim Jae-hwan and served as music director on short films. In May 2022 Lee In-kyu took a first step as a singer-songwriter with the EP 'Nevertheless'.
When a session guitarist turns to singing original songs, the accompaniment changes. The guitar that used to sit behind the voice comes forward. This session has an electric guitar solo in it.
When the person who writes also plays, a song sounds like two people talking. In this session those two people are one.
From an empty seat to something seeping in
The opener, 'Goodbye', renders the moment of accepting an empty seat rather than straining to fill it, like a pleasant summer breeze.
The third, 'Rewind', holds the moment of thinking of a past relationship as a film already over and replaying it now and then inside yourself. The last, 'Everything About You', sings the moment when everything about someone slowly seeps into your day.
It starts at an empty seat, passes through a rewind, and ends with something seeping in. A session that opened with the word goodbye ends with the words everything about you.
The day this was filmed
An autumn day when the whole world had turned yellow, the crew wrote. It was an early-morning shoot, and their record says a warm tone woke a sleeping morning.

Play the four in order. The movement from goodbye to everything about you is the first thing to follow.
Then find where the guitar solo comes in. Confirm by ear that the one singing and the one playing are the same.
Last, play the second song, 'Nevertheless', again. It is also the title of Lee In-kyu's first EP.
