Lee In-kyu studied guitar at university. He worked as a session guitarist for artists including Kim Jae-hwan and served as music director on short films. In May 2022 he took his first step as a singer-songwriter with the EP 'Nevertheless'.

When a session guitarist sings his own songs, the accompaniment changes. The guitar that used to sit behind the voice comes forward. This session has an electric guitar solo in it.

When the person who writes also plays, a song sounds like two people talking. In this session those two people are one.

From an empty seat to something seeping in

The opener, 'Goodbye', renders the moment of accepting an empty seat rather than straining to fill it, like a pleasant summer breeze.

The third, 'Rewind', holds the moment of thinking of a past relationship as a film already over and replaying it now and then inside yourself. The last, 'Everything About You', sings the moment when everything about someone slowly seeps into your day.

It starts at an empty seat, passes through a rewind, and ends with something seeping in. A session that opened with the word goodbye ends with the words everything about you.

The day this was filmed

An autumn day when the whole world had turned yellow, the crew wrote. It was an early-morning shoot, and their record says a warm tone woke a sleeping morning.
