The Name Was Made From One Syllable of Each of Their Names
Jajung's full live session is up. The last song is their official debut single.

In three lines
- Jajung's full live session is up. Four songs run back to back.
- The order is 'Embrace', 'I Missed You', 'Fly Again' and 'Mungchi, I'll Take You Home'.
- The last song is their official debut single.

The order of the four
| No. | Song |
|---|---|
| 1 | Embrace (originally MAKTUB, Jung Young-eun) |
| 2 | I Missed You (originally WSG Wannabe) |
| 3 | Fly Again |
| 4 | Mungchi, I'll Take You Home |
How the name was made
'Jajung' takes the 'Ja' from Jahyun and the 'Jung' from Minjung — one syllable from each of their names, stuck together.
But the word they made that way already exists. Jajung means midnight, the hour that is both the start and the end of a day. They explain that meaning as the meaning of the name.
Sometimes a combination made by chance turns out to mean something. They joined two names and got the moment a day turns over.
What the two voices do
Minjung is a powerful vocalist who moves naturally from a low register up to a high G, and Jahyun has insisted on R&B since starting to make music — by Jahyun's own description, that voice itself is groove.
A duo where both people do the same thing has no reason to be two. Doing different things is what makes two necessary. One pushes with force, the other flows with rhythm.
The opener 'Embrace' is the song Jahyun sang when taking the grand prize at a practical music competition. The second, 'I Missed You', is a song they both love.
A session where the debut song comes last
The third song, 'Fly Again', offers comfort and hope in a hard time. And the last, 'Mungchi, I'll Take You Home', is their official debut single.
A debut song coming last means this session was filmed around the time they debuted. The first three songs are either unreleased or someone else's, and only at the very end does a song released under their own name arrive.
A live session usually shows what you already have. This one is closer to showing what you are about to have.
Where this was filmed
Neuti Children's Park in Yeonnam-dong. It was a sunlit autumn noon, the crew wrote.
They worried the heat would be hard on singers going full out, but the two smiled shyly and said they were having fun — and the crew wrote that they were grateful for it.
Today, like this
Play the four in order. The choice to put the debut song last is the first thing to check.
Then try to tell the two voices apart. Listen for where the one going on force hands over to the one going on rhythm.
Last, think about the team's name again. They joined halves of two names and got the start and the end of a day.
A new song has arrived at the playground today.
