Mozzy (마지) is a singer-songwriter who sings in a color of their own, regardless of genre. On a sunny spring day, Mozzy sang four songs at the playground of Gangjae Children's Park in Juyeop-dong, Ilsan, Goyang, Gyeonggi Province. It's the same playground as sucozy, featured on October 7. In the opening greeting, Mozzy said it felt really good to do a first live shoot at such a colorful playground on such a nice day. Jung Sung-hyun on piano, Lim Su-chan on drums, Ham Sung-hoon on guitar and Kim Dong-ju on bass played along. Split the sound by instrument, and the order in which the instruments come in differs from song to song. Times follow the video.
0:34 천벌
The title means "divine punishment." The song started from imagining an ideal world and wondering whether people as used to stress as we are could ever survive in a place where everyone is endlessly happy and laughing. The video description introduces it as a place "endlessly happy, where nothing ever happens." The instruments stack up one layer at a time: keys and guitar come in first at 0:50, then bass at 1:15 and drums at 1:40. At 2:15, the drums and bass drop out together for about 5 seconds before returning.
4:15 이름을 만들자
The title means "let's make up a name." Mozzy said that when becoming someone's partner, another self seems to wake up inside. The song is about giving that self a name, hiding the cheesy sides you don't show anyone else behind it, and, even if you break up, tucking all that time away behind the name. In this song, the drums come in first at 4:25, and the bass only joins at 4:50. From 6:25, for about 15 seconds, the band plays on without the voice.
8:02 따뜻한 잠자리를 하루를 정리하는 시간을 자유로울 수 있는 선택들을 도망칠 용기를 눈 감을 수 있는 사랑을 (Anywhere)
Mozzy introduced it as a song on the album 'Warmth' and said "the title is a bit long": it means "a warm bed, time to wrap up the day, choices that let you be free, the courage to run away, a love you can close your eyes to." Without spaces, it's 43 Korean characters. Mozzy wrote it after being deeply moved by a scene in an American TV series, in which one half of an arguing couple says, "I'm not going anywhere, I'll stay right here." The idea was that love isn't about giving something grand, but about giving the things in the title. The drums and bass come in at 8:40, and from 10:15, for 25 seconds, the voice drops out as the camera closes in on the hands playing guitar.
12:18 Love&Hug
Before the last song, Mozzy said it was an unreleased song to be released with NONOL, brought along to share first. It started during a time of feeling lonely, as if alone, despite having many loved ones around; the thought came that the only one who could help was oneself, and if so, then maybe it's okay to be as lonely as you like. The drums and bass come in at 12:40, and the song ends at 15:35. On November 5, 2024, 216 days after the video went up, the song came out as 'NONOL VOL 48'. The release also includes the 'NONOL Live Version' sung at the playground that day. Apple Music · Live version
