The name itself is the joke

'G.C Hammer' twists MC Hammer. It takes the first letters of Ji Sang-ryeol's name and attaches them.

Comedians appearing in music credits happens now and then. Usually under their real name, though. Inventing a character name and entering the featuring line under it is another matter.

Using a character name means what entered that slot is not a person but a role. What gets fixed is not who raps inside the song but what raps.

The song title is a double too

'소주밤' reads as soju plus night, but the English spelling is 'SOJU BOMB' — a term for a mixed shot.

Read in Korean it is night; read in English it is a bomb. The same sound written two ways to make two meanings. The title already looks like a joke made at a drinking table.

Mighty Mouth are two people, Shorry and Choo Flex. Add Gyeongree and G.C Hammer and one song holds four.

Nine months

Their last release was 'CHRISTMAS PLAN' in December of last year. A Christmas song, then nine months later a drinking song.

Acts that release seasonal songs appear on schedule with the season. A carol in December and a soju song in September is an extension of that seasonal sense.
