Midnight today. The 'SITCHY' music video went up on H1GHR MUSIC's official channel. Four of them: pH-1, Woodie Gochild, BIG Naughty (Seo Dong-hyun) and lIlBOI.

But there's no audio release.

Checking at 11 a.m., the song isn't on Melon, Bugs, Genie or iTunes. There's no auto-generated '- Topic' upload on YouTube either. The only place to hear this song right now is this one music video.

The First 24 Seconds Aren't Music

Genuinely, there is no music.

From the top of the video to the 24-second mark there is only the sound of a scooter engine — broadband noise below 120Hz. Around four seconds a rider's voice comes in and goes, and isolated hits drop around 8, 14, 17 and 20 seconds. No hi-hat, no harmony. For 24 seconds you listen to the sound of someone going live and making a delivery.

Then at 0:24 the beat starts, exactly there. A hi-hat grid at roughly eight hits per second lays down across 6–10kHz all at once, with a single bass note underneath. Kick and snare still haven't arrived, which is why these six seconds feel so thin and dry.

At 0:30.3 the full drums land. The whole spectrum fills at once and the previous six seconds get filled in. And immediately, at 0:31, the sub-bass drops out for one beat before returning at 0:31.8. They empty the spot the drums just entered, to mark it.

What's good about this song is that it doesn't just lay an 808 down and leave it. Over 152BPM the sub-bass rests completely every two or three bars — around 0:50, 0:58, 1:12, 1:34, 1:56 and 2:24 it falls to −25 to −39dB. Only voices remain on those empty beats. It isn't a track that stays glued together; it cuts and reconnects.

The biggest event is at 2:58.5. The 808 and drums vanish entirely for two and a half seconds. From 2:59 the same sound gets chopped about twenty times a second, sweeping the whole spectrum, and at 3:01 the bass comes back all at once.

The Screen Is a Livestream From Start to Finish

Viewer chat scrolls in the lower left and a donation leaderboard sits in the upper right. The 'super fans 2000' progress bar in the upper left climbs from 1204 (60%) at the start to 1277 (64%) near the end.

The viewer count in the lower right keeps moving too: 21 at ten seconds, 139 at 1:10, 442 at 2:10, 710 at 3:10, peaking around 939 at about 3:30, and back down to 785 at 3:51.

The opening is from a delivery rider's point of view. The camera runs over the scooter handlebars and past the side mirror onto the road, hands over a pizza box at a door at 31 seconds, then moves to a pool villa party.

The music ends at 3:39. The remaining fifteen seconds are just the ambient sound of wrapping up a broadcast, and at 3:51 the frame shows a pair of feet in front of a door lock. In a video of 3 minutes 54, the actual song is 3 minutes 15; the 39 seconds at either end belong to 'the broadcast'.

[PINK TAPE]

The first line of the video description is 'H1GHR MUSIC [PINK TAPE]', and the hashtag is #PINK_TAPE. Among the channel's recent uploads, this video is the first to carry that marking.

What [PINK TAPE] actually is, though, isn't documented anywhere yet. No format, no release date, no tracklist has been confirmed. So we'll stop there.

The four released the compilation 'PURPLE TAPE' together on 9 April. That album put all fifteen tracks forward as title tracks, and 'SITCHY' is a new song that appears on none of them. Two days ago, on 12 September, a podcast episode featuring all four also went up, running 55 minutes.

Where to Listen

This one you have to watch. Partly because there's no audio release, but mostly because the 24 seconds at the front and the 15 at the back are just noise without the picture. You need to see the chat scrolling to hear those 39 seconds as part of the song.

Just give it a listen, trust me. You only have to hold out until 0:24.
