The writing and composing credits stayed

The remake credits lyrics to Kang Eun-kyung and music to Lee Kyung-sub — the same as the original. What changed is the arrangement and the people singing.

When credits stay in a remake, it means the bones of the song were left alone. The melody and the words are from 1997; only the sound and the voices laid over them are from 2026.

The label said they "kept the original's charm and its familiar points as much as possible, while reinterpreting it with a feeling that today's idols and fans can naturally relate to".

Everyone singing it is younger than the song

UNIS are eight: Jin Hyun-ju, Nana, Jellydanka, Kotoko, Bang Yun-ha, Elisia, Oh Yun-a and Lim Seo-won. The eldest, Jin Hyun-ju, was born in 2001; the youngest, Lim Seo-won, in 2011.

None of the eight had been born in 1997. The song was there before the people were.

A label representative told Ilgan Sports: "The members were encountering the song for the first time too, so they found it curious and interesting, and they prepared very hard to express it in the UNIS way."

This is not the first time it has been sung again

'Sky Land, Star Land' has been sung again more than once. T-ara remade it in 2010 on a single project marking composer Lee Kyung-sub's twentieth anniversary, and Orange Caramel performed it on television.

So this is not the song's first remake. But as an official release by a K-pop group, it is the first in sixteen years since T-ara.

According to TenAsia, this is the first remake single UNIS have released since their debut.
