One album opened in two goes

'WHY NOT ME?' is a single album of twelve tracks. Not two albums.

Six of them opened first, on August 23 — five in Mandarin and one in English. Then on August 30 the six Korean tracks were added and the album was filled in.

It is one album opened half at a time, a week apart. Released all at once it gets consumed as one thing; opened in halves, each half is treated once as a new release.

All six, not just one

All six were sung in Korean. Not only the title track.

Translating only the title track is the more common route, since that is the one song promotion runs on. Leaving the rest in the original language costs less.

Do all of them and someone listening in Korean gets a complete set. Six songs of which you understand one and six songs you understand from start to finish are different objects.

A title made of a question

The album is 'WHY NOT ME?' and the title track is 'Why'. Both are questions.

'Why not me' is closer to a protest than an inquiry — it points at a situation rather than asking for an answer. And 'Why' in front of it is that same question with its back half removed.

The album title is a sentence and the title track is its first word. The song points at where the album begins.

Then play the half released on August 23 after it. The same song meeting a different language's syllables changes the rhythm.
